The museum offers educational activities and exhibits focused on developing and educating children and families, including the Oak Tree meant for crawling around in, the Toolbox Piano that plays music corresponding to different tools and even a Grape Stomp ball pit. The museum is a great place for kids to play while learning a thing or two.

Home to a large collection of military aviation artifacts and war memorabilia, the Estrella Warbirds Museum is a way to get up close and personal with these preserved artifacts while offering a glimpse into the past. From planes, tanks and war equipment to classic cars in the museum’s Woodland auto display, the Estrella Warbirds Museum is an educational and fun way to share a piece of the past with younger generations.

Studios on the Park is a nonprofit open art center in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, where everyone will enjoy watching artists in action, perusing the craft and fine art gift shop and strolling through the center’s four galleries. There are six studios with 15 working artists, as well as workshops and themed exhibits for all ages, including a Youth Arts program and even cookie decorating classes for the older children. Afterwards, enjoy all that downtown Paso Robles has to offer — including restaurants, shops, parks and a movie theater.

Give the kids a look at life in the past with a visit to the Paso Robles Pioneer Museum – a wonderful collection of visual and written history. Showcasing interesting cultural, agricultural and commercial artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries, the museum offers a glimpse of what life was once like in the small community of Paso Robles.

Recently renovated, it features a state-of-the-art playground and horseshoe pits, and acts as a hub for various community events throughout the year, like the Mid-State Fair Pancake Breakfast, “Concerts in the Park,” and Pioneer Day.
